Funny! He looks like David in that pic. And, it reminds me of David on the 4th of July, even though David was shaving his hair not spiking it up to kingdom come!
Good for you! I think one thing my mom learned later after using me as a guinea pig ;-) is to not fight battles over these kind of things. Their outward appearance as long as modest is no sign of inner turmoil necessarily. Yes, just wait. I surprised my mom with a belly button ring right after I turned 18. She cried!
I am married to David, who has been my best friend since I was a teenager. He is amazing and funny and brilliant. He makes me want to be more than I ever dreamed I could be, because he believes I already am.
I have the four coolest kids in the world. Garrett is 17, Tyler is 14, Riley is 11, and Cole is 9.
I have incredible women in my life who are my friends.
I serve a God that is so full of love and grace.

My translation: "Um, Deleise...when you get finished with your planning and figuring and fretting, why don't you just kick back and relax and let me take care of things. Seriously, it's sweet of you to want to help but I've got it completely under control."
Oops. Sorry God...again.
