New York City

I've always been enamored by New York City. So I was more than a little excited when I got this card from David for my birthday.

And then even more excited when he called me and told me it was actually cheaper to fly home on a Monday, would I want to make the trip a day longer. Hmmm...let me think about that...

I greatly reduced my 250 photos to post just a glimpse!

People. Lots of people.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Monet!

And Van Gogh!

And chocolate tartlets!
The night life. Times Square.

Our hotel.

30 Rock

The Museum of Modern Art

My favorite! The Starry Night!
Jackson Pollock

Picasso

Andy Warhol
Kadinsky
Central Park

In our hotel room getting ready to go to dinner and the theater.

Lunch and shopping in SoHo

Serendipity. After we were seated we decided to google and see where John Cusack sat in the movie, and it was the table where we were seated!
A lil sundae.

And if you want to see the other 220 pictures, let me know! I have five days worth of lots of famous art and city pictures. :)

Love the photos! What a great trip and a great way to celebrate your birthday! I'm so glad you were able to do that. (I think I spotted your cute brown hat in one of the photos...) What did you see at the theatre? SOOOOO FUN!!!

Oh that looks like SOOOOOOOOOO much fun. Kudos to David for being the birthday gift giver over-achiever. PS tell him I'll turn 40 in December if he'd like to pay for a trip for me...

Please post more pictures, Deleise!
What a fantastic trip! My 8 year old has been infatuated with NYC since he was about 3. We are planning on taking him someday in the future.
We only live about 3 hours away so we really have no excuse for not going.

OMG! That sundae!!! It's official. Serendipity is now officially my sole reason for wanting to visit NYC. Well... that and the Statue of Liberty. LOVE the pix.

Great pictures. When you showed 30 Rock, the show's theme song sprang into my head. Glad you all had fun.

So you just hand your camera to someone on the street to snap a picture??

Jen, we usually took our own picture. But a couple of times someone would see us doing that and offer. And if they were a mom with kids with them I felt fine handing my camera over.

We're headed there on Friday...but the trip won't quite look the same. And what...no stop in the AG Store?? ;)
