This amazing human being entered the world.
Instantly he filled an empty place in my heart that I never even knew I had.
My first baby.
It was the first time I had experienced part of me living in someone else. And I was in awe. I still am.
Garrett, I am completely nuts about you. I am thankful for your selflessness and your sense of humor. For how you lead your siblings, and put others before yourself. I’m thankful for how patient you are with me and my computer inadequacies. And for how seriously you take your role as a follower of Christ. You are a gift and a blessing. Happy birthday. I love you more than you can possibly imagine!

Seriously... why do you keep doing this to me... I'm going to have to start keeping a box of Kleenex by this computer if I'm going to keep reading your blog...
I hope Garrett has a wonderful BD! I thought of him this morning... I remember holding him when he was an infant, after the OKC bombing. Holding him was like fresh air... like hope... life! He's such a fantastic kid, er, young man!
What a great day to remember!! Garrett is a very special young man(ouch). He was a ray of light in that week of darkness. Enjoy your celebration.
Precious.

Made me tear up. I am so glad my boys have Garrett to look up to ~ they already do so much. I love you G!
I remember that day well--the day our first grandchild was born. He was a very special baby and is now a very special 14-year-old. Have fun celebrating his birthday.
I just started to tear up a little about Garrett growing up so I thought I would check out what you had on your blog today. Now I am crying big rivers. Thanks.
Garrett really is such an awesome gift from God. What a kind, respectful, Godly man he is! I am so proud of him and just can't wait to see what God has in store for him. I know he will always be blessed for his faithfulness to God. Happy Birthday to my first little bundle of joy. I love you as if you were my own and would steal you if I could get away with it.
Do you need some chocolate pie? I do!
thanks everyone!
I remember flying to OKC from Little Rock to see Garrett when he came home from the hospital! What a special gift to have a new little life during those days. As I have followed Garrett's life, I observe that the special-ness continues! Happy Birthday!
He is a DOLL!
