My Love

Today is David's 40th birthday.

I love you David.

You are the reason I am who I am. You are the reason I laugh so hard. You are the reason I look forward to life on this earth.

Knowing you are mine makes everything in my world right.

Thank you for being so much more than I deserve.

Happy 40th birthday.

Oh Cole.

Sweet Cole turns 8 today, September the 3rd.

Happy birthday my little guy. You are so precious and funny. You are so thoughtful and fun.

I love how excited you get about EVERYTHING. Especially other people's birthdays.

I love how much you admire your brothers and love your sister.

I love how tender your heart is.

I love how you make me feel so incredibly adored and loved.

I love how last night when you and I went out for a walk to see if there was a rainbow, you slipped your hand in mine as we walked down the street. Because you like me. You like being with me. And that makes me happier than you'll ever know.

I hope your day is everything you want it to be. :)

Riley's new room!

Riley has had a princess room for the last 5 years or so. She's nine now. So she thought it was time to move on.

I only cried for a little while.

And then the fun began.

I loved her room with it's castle that lit up...

It's sweet little table and chairs...
And the fairies on the wall... *sigh* Where does the time go?

It all started with a swimsuit. Riley loved this look. We knew black on the wall would be too much, so we went for black accents instead.

These pictures don't convey the whole story. I just couldn't capture the room. But you'll get the idea. Also the colors look a little off. They are teal, lime green and hot pink. So fun!

A place with a view for having snacks or doing art. My parents found this heavy wood table for $25. Score. It was old and scratched up and just needed some glossy black paint. Now it looks new!

My parents made these padded headboards and footboard for her "chaise" she wanted...

This dresser belonged to my great-grandmother. It has survived many generations and even more coats of paint. We haven't put our decor out just yet.

Sweet dreams, Princess.
